No Resurrection...No Hope.
Jesus is risen. He is risen indeed!
This morning as I celebrate Easter and think of all the things that bring me joy, I think about where joy comes from. How do we get it? Where do we get it? Can I get more if I am running low? Kinda like groceries in the frig? Gas in my tank?
My joy comes from a source. That source is in my heart. When my heart is running low, I can get a fill up. All I have to do is ask. All I have to do is calm. All I have to do is quiet myself and ask for His presence. All I have to do is tap into my power source...the resurrection power source. The source is available 24/7, isn't that amazing?
That same power source is where I tap into hope. And as I think of hope, I am reminded of the resurrection of Jesus. He didn't just die for my sin, that would leave me hopeless. He arose from the dead, conquering sin and death, giving me the hope of eternal life. That eternal life starts here on earth. And it's available 24/7, isn't that amazing?
